BOSTON

So Boston was at my house one night and JD got the dump truck out for him to play with. Well he fit just right in the truck. So Vanessa and I pushed him around the living room for quite a while. Whenever we would tell him to hold on he would put his hands on the dump truck. He is so much fun. I love him. But of course he wouldn't let us get a good picture of him.

Stitchery Fun

So in November JD's aunt had a stitchery party. Every since then we have continued to have one. I have really enjoyed doing this. We have a party every other month. So far I have made a Christmas pillow and a Valentine's pillow. I am hosting it in March. We are doing a really fun Easter pattern. I am really exited about it. I will post a picture once I complete it. I would probably do more of it if I had more time, but I have so many projects right now. I am also working on a really cute ABC baby quilt and trying to finish my book, The Host which is finally starting to get really good.

This is JD with Boston on the day he was born. We just love Boston. He is so fun and growing so fast. It is fun to look back and remember him just a few months ago, but so much smaller.

Update

Well, not much has been happening although I have been extremely busy. I have been making a tree skirt and it has taken more time than any other project. It is slow moving and lots of pieces. Luckily it's not that big, but I did get the top completed last night. Now I just need to get the back on and get it quilted. I am really excited to have it for Christmas this year. I will post pictures when I complete it. Other than all the sewing I have been planning a trip to Moab with my family over Thanksgiving. We have went the last two years and have had a great time. I can't wait to get down there. I am sure I will have some great pictures from it. Last but not least the sad news. My brothers dogs kidneys and liver were failing so they put him down. I wasn't very attached to the dog, but it was kind of sad since we have had him for a while.

Happy Halloween

I really like Halloween. I think it was really fun to dress up and see all the kids in their cute costumes. But my favorite part it decorating. This year my cousin Dustin helped me make some really cool headstones. I put pictures of all of them below. I also got some really cute indoor decorations. I was really excited to get everything put up and I didn't wait to do it. I had everything pretty well up October 1. So I didn't waste anytime. Next week are going to the Dreaded Grove with some friends it should be scary.

Deer Hunt

So a couple weeks ago we went on the muzzleloader hunt with my Dad and Grandpa. We went down south by Koosharem. We had so much fun riding the four wheelers and camping with my family. My Dad had bad luck with tires the whole weekend. Before I even got there he had ran over a sharp rock with his truck and put a hole in the tire. Just as we were arriving they were going to rescue his 4-wheeler because he ran over a stick and put it right through the back tire and you know three's a charm. Well he did it again he ran over a tent stake with the other back tire on the 4-wheeler. He was only able to fix one tire on the 4-wheeler and luckily he was able to get a hold of my uncle to bring him a new tire before they left. I tried to take pictures of all the holes, but they didn't really work out. Although he had such bad luck he at least got a deer. He shot a 2-point. So he didn’t go away with nothing.

This tree was just up from our camp. I thought it was really cool. The tree completely uprooted and there was a stream underneath it. This picture is from under the tree. There was even a whole were that big rock used to sit.
As you can see is was not a little tree. It covered some area.

This was the other side of the tree. The side you would normally see if it was still standing.

We were all quite impressed by it. My mom found and had to make sure everyone got to see it.

Dad & Luke walking to up the trail to see the really cool tree.

Luke didn't want me to take his picture.

Gatlin was not cooperating with us. We wern't able to get any good pictures of him.

JD & Boston chillin' by the fire.

My brother found this log near our camp and it was hollow inside so he made a chimney out of it. It was pretty neat. The fire shot quite a ways out of it and it put off some good heat. It was a great idea. Expect when the bottom started to collapse.

Rock Crawling Competition

So I am kind of doing so catch up on all of the fun things we did this summer and this is one I can't leave out.

JD entered a rock crawling competition in Delta, Utah this summer. He was in the legends class, which is one class above stock. It was so much fun although the first day of competition (the only day I was there) was cold, rainy, and very muddy. He was in second place the first day of competition and by the end of the day he broke the birfield in the front axel. Luckily we were able to find a part and get it fixed for day two. He was doing great day two until he broke both sides of the front axel which dropped him to finishing seventh place out of 17 people. He did really well. His brother Stewart also entered but he broke the first day of competition and still wasn't last place.

There were a few people that tipped their rig upside down or on its side. It was the first time I have ever seen anyone tip over. I have some really cool video from it, but I haven't had a chance to edit it. As soon as I do I will definitely post it. I would let JD do it again in a heart beat even if it did cost $500 to fix the front end. It was well worth the fun. We will be going to Moab again in a month so I will make sure to post all the pictures from that trip.

Before the Competition Started

After the Competition was over. These dents are still there today. Neither door will open now so you have to crawl in the window to get in or out of the truck. I was not to happy when he smashed my side!

This obstacle was one of the toughest to do. You can tell by the pictures that follow of other crawlers.

This guy sell tools to JD at work. We are going to Moab with him this next weekend.

The guy that drove this rig was at least 45+. His rig was awesome. This is the same obstacle you saw JD on at the beginning.

This is someone else, but JD ran this obstacle in 2-wheel drive after he broke part of his axel on the first day. It was so funny to watch him run it. He was beat to death by the end because the second part of the course is a bunch logs that you have to go over and he hit them really hard.

They had a lift to get the trucks out of obstacles when they broke or got stuck. Not very many rigs got very far on this obstacle. At least that I saw.

This is the guy's rig that put on the competition. He is sponsored so it was decked out with alot of cool stuff that JD would love to have.

This rig was in the unlimited class (upper class). I think he passed every obstacle, but he is built for competition.
